WWE & TNA News: Sunny, Rhino's Status, Hogan, Daniels, Lots More

  • John Laurinaitis has talked with Tammy Sytch (Sunny) with her about doing 24/7 segments.
  • Hulk Hogan has accepted an invite to be the celebrity king at the annual Bacchus parade in New Orleans on February 3.
  • WWE's worldwide success is a major part of the company's business plan as tours over the world bring in huge amount of revenues from live event tickets and merchandise. And now to capitalize on new television deals, WWE announced that they will be touring Latin America to bring some live action to fans. In February, Smackdown! and ECW will be touring Guatemala City, Guatemala and Guadalajara, Mexico for two live events, one in each location. Just two days afterwards the Superstars will travel to Quito, Ecuador for their debut with two live events planned. A second tour is being planned for later this year, and is expected to include WWE's first live event performances in Brazil. (Thanks to Colin Vassallo)

  • Michael Fedorov sent this in: I would like to inform you, that wrestling superstar and TNA wrestler RAVEN have been in Moscow, Russia on the previous week, taking part in two wrestling-related events: on December 12 th he took part in the Extreme Sports Fest named " Proryv' " ("Breakthrough"), where he was going through the no-disqualification match against Joe "The Legend"; and on December 15th he took part in the Annual show "Kubok Presidenta" ("President Cup"), hosted by "first and only? Russian wrestling federation NFR (in English ? IWF/Independent Wrestling Federation, don't with American IWF, last yea IWF "President Cup" Special Guest was WWE Executive Vice President of Global Media Shawn McMahon). On that show Raven appeared at the end of the match for IWF Hardcore title between Blue Thunder and Vladimir Kulakov (whom he helps via his trademarked "Raven Effect").
  • Rhino is back in the gym training for his return to TNA. He missed the Turning Point PPV due to neck problems and needing to focus on some family issues.
  • To make the Christopher Daniels "firing" angle more realistic, it is expected that he will work exclusively for independent wrestling promotions over the next couple of months to sell his recent "TNA release." The plan right now is for Daniels to be "gone" from the company for a few months, however, that could change at any moment.
