– TNA Wrestling president Dixie Carter said on Twitter before the Genesis PPV that a new face was present at the Genesis pay-per-view. "A new face backstage tonight," she wrote. "I hope he is here for the right reasons." Of course, she was referring to Matt Hardy who debuted for the company at Genesis in a match against Rob Van Dam.
