– Tonight's episode of WWE RAW takes place from the Colonial Life Arena in Columbia, SC. The show will kick off with a special edition of "Piper's Pit," hosted by WWE Hall of Famer "Rowdy" Roddy Piper. Piper's guest tonight will be John Cena.

– Alberto Del Rio will face WWE Champion CM Punk for the title on tonight's episode. Local promos are also advertising a dark match with World Heavyweight Champion Mark Henry defending his title against The Big Show. The Colonial Life Arena's website is advertising that it is the first time in Columbia that "both the WWE Championship and World Heavyweight Championship will be defended in one night."
