WWE has acquired the Watts Mid South Wrestling/UWF library after several attempts over the years to reach a deal, according to PWInsider.

The library, previously owned by Bill Watts' ex-wife Ene Watts, includes Mid South Wrestling Television, House Shows, Power Pro-Wrestling and the Universal Wrestling Federation.

The purchase is very timely given the impending launch of the WWE Network, and it's likely to impact future DVD projects also. It's rumored that the company already plan on releasing a retrospective on the company, in addition to making use of the footage for other DVD projects on Hall of Famers, such as Ted DiBiase.

Talent that graced Mid South/UWF included the likes of Jim Ross, Bill Watts, Ric Flair, Shawn Michaels, Michael Hayes, Sting, Ultimate Warrior, Dusty Rhodes, Jake Roberts, and many others.
