UFC 151 Headlined By Jon Jones Cancelled

UFC president Dana White announced today during a media call that Dan Henderson has been forced to withdraw from his title fight with UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones at UFC 151: Jones vs. Henderson next weekend, and the entire event has been cancelled.

"Dan Henderson has a partial tear in his MCL and couldn't continue," White revealed. "He tried to train, tried to continue to work, but there was nothing we could do to save that fight... For the first time in 11 years, we have to cancel an event."

White is angry with Jones, who was offered the chance to face Chael Sonnen in Henderson's stead, but declined.

"Chael Sonnen accepted the fight," White said. "Not only did he take the fight, he said I'd fly to Las Vegas (Wednesday night) and fight him. Jon Jones said I'm not fighting Chael Sonnen with eight days notice. Something like this has never happened in UFC history."
