Update On A New Color Commentator For SmackDown

During a recent interview we conducted with JBL, the former WWE Champion admitted to being interested in a return to commentary on SmackDown. According to a source, Vince McMahon recently at least considered the idea, however Triple H has been vocal about having a new voice at the booth and suggested a few other legends to Vince.

Kevin Dunn, WWE Executive Vice President of Television Production, is said to be frustrated with the inability to secure a color commentator for SmackDown. Several recent Stamford TV studio tryouts reportedly under-performed. Several legends, some of whom are under a legends deal with the company, were said to have been up for tryouts.
