Remembering Andre The Giant: Classic Videos, Myths Debunked, More

The first-ever WWE Hall of Fame inductee, Andre the Giant, passed away 20 years ago on January 27, 1993. WWE.com has posted an article with Don Muraco, Sgt. Slaughter, Jimmy Hart and others remembering the Giant at this link.

They also posted an article listing several myths about Andre and whether they were true or not. Some of the myths debunked were: Hulk Hogan being the first man to bodyslam Andre, Jerry Lawler pinning Andre and if Andre was once drafted by the Washington Redskins. The myths that were confirmed were that Andre once drank 156 beers in one sitting and his final appearance was for WCW.
