ROH TV Recap: C & C Vs. ACH & Thomas Vs. Evans & Marshall, Lethal Vs. Whitmer Vs. Bennett

Ring of Honor opens up with a triple threat tag match.

QT Marshall and RD Evans vs. ACH and Tadarius Thomas vs. Caprice Coleman and Cedric Alexander- Winner gets a tag title shot at Best In The World

Evans starts slapping everyone's hands before the bell rings and Thomas holds on to his hand and squeezes it. Marshall attacks Thomas and everyone starts brawling. Thomas whips Marshall, Marshall leapfrogs over him and Cedric hits Marshall with a kick. Cedric and Thomas exchange strikes and Cedric lands a dropkick. Cedric hits Marshall in the corner and then suplexes Thomas. Caprice comes in. Marshall clotheslines Caprice and Thomas attacks Marshall. ACH comes in. Marshall tries to hit him with a German, but ACH hits an elbow to the head.

ACH hits Caprice's shoulder and Marshall tags Evans in. Evans locks ACH in a full nelson and backs him into his corner. Marshall comes back in and they double team ACH. Caprice and Marshall go at it. Marshall backdrops Caprice to the apron and Evans pulls him to the ground. Marshall goes for a dive, but ACH kicks him in the head. Then, Cedric successfully dives and takes them out. ACH goes for a pin on Marshall, but Evans pulls him out of the ring. Thomas lands a handspring dive and takes Evans out.

Around the commercial break, promos from Kevin Steen and Adam Cole are shown. Back from commercial and ACH goes up top. He dives off to hit Cedric, who moves. Evans connects with a dropkick as ACH lands. Then, Cedric and Thomas start capoeira kicking at each other and dodging. Thomas finally connects with a kick. Caprice takes Thomas out and then Marshall attacks Caprice's shoulder. ACH hits Marshall with a bicycle kick. Evans hits ACH with a boot and then raises his arms in triumph, but ACH grabs his arms and goes for a backslide. Evans counters out, but ACH quickly lands another bicycle kick.

ACH gets a pin attempt on Evans, but it gets broken up. Thomas chops Cedric and whips him into the corner. ACH hits Cedric with an elbow and places him up top. They double team him and then Thomas pulls Cedric down, making his gut hit ACH's knee. While Cedric is still on ACH's knee, Thomas kicks him in the back of the neck. ACH puts Cedric almost into a camel clutch position and Thomas kicks Cedric in the head. Caprice breaks up the pin attempt. Thomas starts kicking everybody.

ACH sends Evans to the outside and Thomas backdrops Marshall onto Evans. ACH lands a crazy looking corkscrew dive, taking Evans and Marshall out. Thomas attacks Cedric in the ring and charges Caprice, who catches him and backs him into the corner. C and C hit Overtime for the win.

Then, a promo from Mark Briscoe is shown. He says that he is the best looking man in Ring of Honor and that he will beat his brother at Best in the World and become the new champion. Then, Jay Briscoe is shown standing next to him, staring. Mark says he shouldn't get ahead of himself. He says that they will be facing the American Wolves next week. Jay Briscoe then says that the Wolves are a hell of a tag team, but they aren't dem boys. He says they will see them next week.

Next, Kevin Kelly talks about how originally, there was supposed to be a singles match between Paul London and Michael Elgin happening, but since London got a concussion at Border Wars those are no longer the plans. They then show footage from Davey Richards vs. Paul London from Border Wars, showing how London got his concussion. London is on the apron and Richards hits him with a double boot stomp from up top. Instead of hitting London's body, he lands on his head. Richards immediately starts checking on London and then starts playing to the crowd a bit to give London time. When London does get up, he stumbles around.

A promo is then shown from Mark Briscoe. He talks about how Jay has always picked on him and talks about a few instances. He says nobody fights like family. He then says at Best in the World he will take that title and be the man.

Jay Briscoe is then shown cutting a promo. Jay says he is proud of the man Mark has become as a husband and father. He says that he has looked after him for 28 years. Jay then says that taking care of Mark is hard. He says that beating Mark throughout the years was to keep him straight. Jay says at Best in the World he will have to straighten him out again in front of the whole family.

Michael Elgin then walks down to the ring. Nigel McGuinness is waiting for him. Paul London then comes out. Nigel says that London had a fantastic match against Richards. He says that London has proved he can hang with the best in wrestling. McGuinness says it isn't London's time to step away from the business and that he still has it. McGuinness says that they aren't going to have the match between London and Elgin so that London can get healthy. He then says that when London is healthy they will have the match and blow the walls off ROH. Elgin and London shake hands.

McGuinness give the mic to London to speak and Evans and Marshall come out. Evans takes the mic and says he hates to interrupt, but the match between Elgin and London won't go on. He says that the only thing people care about is the injustice in the tag team division. He says that reDRagon didn't bother to show up to Border Wars. He says that if the tag champs can't show up, Nigel should make Evans and Marshall the new champs.

The crowd starts yelling that they just lost. London tries to take the mic from Evans and Evans starts talking trash. He tells London it's his time to step away and shoves him in the face. Elgin takes Evans out and Marshall bails out of the ring. Tommaso Ciampa's music starts playing and he comes out and attacks Marshall. He slams him into the barrier multiple times and takes him out. Ciampa then goes into the ring. Evans tries to run away, but Elgin catches him and tosses him into Ciampa. Ciampa hits him with the Project Ciampa. Elgin goes to leave the ring and Ciampa grabs him and pulls him back inside. They say something to each other back and forth and get in each other's faces. Refs come out and separate them.

A promo from The American Wolves is then shown. Richards says that both the Wolves and The Briscoes are up there with the all time great tag teams. Edwards says that they lay it all on the line next week and that the hunt is on.

BJ Whitmer vs. Mike Bennett (with Maria Kanellis) vs. Jay Lethal: Winner receives an ROH Television Title shot at Best in the World

Bennett immediately attacks Whitmer in the corner. Whitmer and Lethal take turns attacking Bennett. They whip him and Lethal lands a dropkick on Bennett. Lethal and Whitmer chain wrestle. Lethal whips Bennett and lands a dropkick. Truth Martini is shown watching from the ramp. Bennett hits Lethal with a spine buster. He then punches Whitmer in the face and takes him to the corner. He strikes Whitmer and then whips him into another corner. He charges Whitmer, who puts a boot up.

Whitmer then chops Bennett in the corner multiple times. He whips Bennett into another corner and Lethal charges Bennett. Bennett puts a boot up. Then, Whitmer charges and hits Lethal. Whitmer lands an exploder Suplex on Lethal and then charges Bennett with a knee to the head. He then exploder suplexes Lethal into Bennett. Whitmer backdrops Lethal to the apron and Bennett kicks him off to the floor. Whitmer hits Bennett with a powerslam. Corino distracts Whitmer from commentary and Bennett lands a super kick.

Back from commercial and Bennett is attacking Whitmer in the corner. He charges Whitmer, who moves. Bennett gets hung up on the ropes and Lethal kicks him. Lethal then takes Whitmer out as Bennett gets off the ropes. Lethal lands a few clotheslines on Bennett and then a springboard back elbow. Whitmer lands a knee to Lethal's back. Bennett picks Whitmer up on his shoulders, but Whitmer wiggles out. Whitmer tries to attack, but Bennett counters into the Box Office Smash. He goes for the pin and Whitmer kicks out.

Bennett tries to attack Lethal, but Lethal counters into an ace crusher. Lethal goes up top for the Hail to the King, but Whitmer stops him. Whitmer tries to superplex Lethal, but Lethal shoves him off. Bennett tries to attack Whitmer, but Whitmer lands an exploder Suplex. He tries to pin Bennett and Lethal lands Hail to the King to the back of Whitmer's neck. He signals for the Lethal Injection on Bennett, who stops him. Lethal kicks Bennett to the outside and starts to go for a dive, but Whitmer lands a big boot. Whitmer goes for an exploder Suplex, but Lethal counters into the Lethal Injection for the win.

Winner: Jay Lethal

After the match, Maria starts screaming at Whitmer, asking what he called her. Bennett attacks him and they brawl in the ring as a bunch of refs come and break them apart.
