WWE Live Event Results From Fresno: Daniel Bryan Vs. Randy Orton, Rey Mysterio - The Shield

Thanks to WrestlingINC.com reader Marcos Carrillo for sending in these results from this past Friday's WWE live event in Fresno, CA:

Justin Roberts came out and introduced Zeb Colter, who was with Jack Swagger. Zeb cut a promo saying that he thought he was in San Jose, not in Fresno. He said Fresno is only known for raisins and a bad college football team. He also said that there were a lot of illegal immigrants in the crowd. He got a lot of heat. Zack Ryder came out to huge pop. Long match, great action went on for over 20 minutes with both of them going back and forth. Zack Ryder pinned Jack Swagger. Great opening match.

Promo with The Shield went on big screens. Hard to hear over boos and not the best sound system.

Next came out Tamina Snuka to a few boos, and then came out Alicia Fox. Alicia Fox pinned Tamina Snuka after about 10 minutes. Not a lot of crowd reaction.

Next was the US Championship Title Match. Rob Van Dam came out to a big pop. United States Champion Dean Ambrose then came through the crowd to a lot of boos. Rob Van Dam did the rolling thunder and missed a frog splash, allowing Dean Ambrose to win with a DDT. Both wrestlers did really great and had the crowd going.

Justin Roberts next brought out Rey Mysterio to a huge pop from the crowd. He said he would be back in September and was happy to be in California. He said he will be back for a long time. The Shield's entrance music hit and down from the crowd come Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins. Rey Mysterio does not know where to go and looks worried. Mark Henry's music hits and Big Show's music follows. They both come out and Rey Mysterio leaves. Reigns and Rollins look shocked and disappointed to see Mark Henry and Big Show.

That leads to a Tag Team Championship match. The Shield look like they both don't want to go in to face Mark Henry. Eventually they get in and is really a good match. Big Show was dominating Seth Rollins before Dean Ambrose comes out and Roman Reigns hits Big Show with a chair that lead to their disqualification.

Justin Roberts came out and announced the crowd will have a choice to have a dance off with the Miz against Fandango or a wrestling match. It seems the crowd is in favor for a wrestling match. They are told to text for the choice.

INTERMISSION

The Usos come out to lots of cheers. They will be facing two members of the Wyatt family, Luke Harper and Erick Rowan. Bray Hyatt is in his rocking chair watching from the outside. Erick enters first and doesn't take his sheep mask off and just stares at Jimmy Uso. Jimmy looks really freaked out and is asking the referee to make him take his mask off. He stays just staring at him for long time (kind of creepy) before Jimmy Uso attacks him and Rowan fights back and throws him out. Luke Harper pinned one of the Uso's. Bray Wyatt then enters the ring and performs his kiss and Sister Abigail finisher.

Fandango comes out with Summer Rae dancing. The crowd starts Fandangoing. The Miz then comes out to loud pop. Justin Roberts announced the people voted for a dance off (I doubt it). Fandango and Summer Rae start dancing to loud boos. The Miz asks why people would vote for a dance off when they are going to a wrestling match. The Miz says he will dance anyway and the music hits for "Sexy and You Know It" by LMFAO. He dances for a few seconds and then gets attacked by Fandango. Then the bell rings and they start a wrestling match. They fought on the floor a lot and it went on for a good while before the Miz won.

The main event was Randy Orton vs. Daniel Bryan for the WWE Championship. Daniel Bryan came out to a lot of cheers. Randy Orton came out to a larger pop. It seems the crowd was cheering more for Randy Orton. This was a great long match with a lot of fighting from the outside. Daniel Bryan put the Yes lock on Randy Orton, then the Shield came out to beat down on Daniel Bryan. Rob Van Dam, Mark Henry, and Big Show come out to clean house on the Shield as Orton went away. They all hit their finishers on Seth Rollins. The faces stayed in the ring to salute the crowd and everybody went home happy.

The Save Mart Center was about 80% full and was a great, boisterous crowd.
