Another Detailed Set Of Results From Tonight's WWE Live Event In Detroit, MI: CM Punk Headlines

Thanks to WrestlingINC.com reader HEELDolphin for sending in this report for tonight's WWE live event in Detroit, MI:

* The arena is about 65% full. I don't know if that says more about WWE today or Detroit. A LOT of kids in attendance and A LOT of John Cena shirts.

* Byron Saxton is our announcer tonight. He asks the crowd to stand for the national anthem.

* Dolph Ziggler vs. Ryback kicks off the show. Ziggler's right arm was wrapped up and he was favoring it a lot. I'm not sure if it's a legitimate injury or if he was just selling Orton's beatdown from Smackdown. Ryback came out to heavy boos and "Goldberg" chants. I'm disappointed in my city. At one point during the match, Ryback held up Ziggler for a suplex and it looked like he was about to do a Jackhammer which prompted more "Goldberg" chants, but Ryback ended up just falling back for regular suplex. Ryback was being very obnoxious in this match. Ziggler steals a win by turning Shellshock into a roll-up.

* AJ Lee (w/ Tamina Snuka) vs. Natalya for the Divas Championship is next. AJ grabs a mic before the match and says as a holiday gift to herself she doesn't have to defend the title tonight. How adorable. AJ ends up knocking Tamina off the apron by accident and gets caught in the Sharpshooter and taps, giving Natalya the non-title victory. The crowd was really into Natalya.

* Saxton tries to segue to the next segment, but gets cut off by a Bad News Barrett promo on the tron that insults Detroit.

* An edition of MizTV is next. Oh joy. Miz comes out to a mixed reaction. He looks around the ring and makes a joke about the poor production for his show tonight. He introduces Kofi Kingston as his guest. Miz asks Kofi what is problem is. Kofi calls Miz a coward. Miz says "Really?" The crowd says "Really". Miz says "Really?", again. The crowd says "Really", again. Miz asks the crowd if they were saying "Really" because they agreed that he is a coward. The crowd starts chanting "YES!". Miz says he's not Daniel Bryan and tells them to calm down. Miz says Kofi is just jealous and started plugging his movies. He tells the crowd to start chanting "YES!" now. I thought Miz was hilarious in this segment. "EXCUSE ME!!!!", Vickie says as she enters the arena to a chrous of boos. Her voice is even more blood-curdling live. She says Miz and Kofi will team up against the Primetime Players.

* The Primetime Players beat Miz & Kofi after Kofi gets fed up and hits Trouble in Paradise on Miz. The Primetime Players celebrate with Kofi after the match as Miz gets carried to the back by a referee.

* A Shield promo was put on the tron, but I couldn't understand what they were saying.

* Bad News Barrett beats Tyson Kidd in a match that some people used as their bathroom break. Sad.

* After about a 10 minute intermission we get a Triple Threat match between Damien Sandow, R-Truth and Big E. Langston for the Intercontinental Championship. Sandow cuts a promo before the match saying that even though Detroit doesn't deserve it, he will win tonight and become its Intercontinental Champion. This was pretty much a sinlges match between Truth and Sandow as Langston was down on the outside. Langston comes back and hits the Big Ending on Sandow to retain his title.

* Crew members begin to construct the steel cage for a six-man tag match between Daniel Bryan & The Usos and The Wyatt Family. Bryan comes out to a sea of "YES!" chants, as you would expect. During the Usos' entrance one of them knocked over a Christmas tree on the stage, creating sort of an awkward moment. The Wyatts come out to a nice pop. Their entrance isn't as cool live. One of the Usos escapes the cage early, leaving his partners to be manhandled by the Wyatt Family. Bray exits through the door soon after. Eric Rowan and the other Uso escape at the same time, leaving just Luke Harper and Daniel Bryan. After a few nice exchanges, Bryan is able to escape the cage, giving his team the win.

* Next is either a dance-off or a match between Mark Henry and Fandango. The votes were pretty even throughout the night, but the dance-off wins. Fandango and Summer Rae are elated. They go first, but only dance for about 10 seconds. Fandango and Summer act like they tore the house down. Henry reluctantly goes next. He points to the sky and Billy Jean starts playing. The crowd goes nuts. Henry busts out some nice moves, but Fandango attacks him during his moonwalk. Henry gets the upperhand and World's Strongest Slams Fandango. Henry teases dancing some more, but thinks better of it and heads to the back.

* The main event is CM Punk vs. all 3 members of the Shield. The place goes bonkers for Punk. The Shield and Punk both play coy and keep telling each other to just walk away, but neither back down. Reigns takes himself out mid-match with a missed Spear attempt into the steel steps. Rollins later pulls Reigns' shoulder "back in place" to get him back into the match. Reigns attempts another Spear while Punk has Ambrose up for a GTS, but Punk drops Ambrose in front of Reigns, giving him a chance to take Reigns and Rollins out and put Ambrose to sleep for the win.
