TNA Impact Recap With Video: Magnus Defends Against Gunner, Rayne Vs. Kim Street Fight, More

This week's episode of Impact opens with a recap of Gunner winning Feast or Fired. Mike Tenay and Taz are on commentary.

Dixie and her cronies are backstage. Dixie tries to convince Magnus to go out and make an announcement. They head out to the ring.

Magnus picks up a mic and calls MVP down to the ring for the announcement. MVP comes out. Magnus tells him that he is the champion. People who glorify criminal conduct don't impress him. He promises MVP that if he gets in the ring with him, his time in prison would be nothing compared to it. Magnus tells MVP if he steps out of line with him, he will make an example of him.

MVP tells Magnus he knows he is the champ because he's constantly saying it. He says a real champion doesn't have to do that because people do it already. MVP asks for an answer about his Lethal Lockdown challenge. Magnus tells MVP on behalf of TNA president Dixie Carter, they accept his challenge, however he will not be in that match as team captain. Instead, he will be defending his title against Samoa Joe.

MVP asks why Magnus is going to look right through Gunner. He calls him a legit badass, and Magnus says he is the legit badass. Magnus tells MVP he is going to make him his b-atch. MVP attacks him and strikes him in the corner.

Ethan Carter runs out and attacks MVP. He and Magnus start double teaming Magnus, and a shot is shown backstage of security blocking the Wolves from running to ringside. The Wolves break through security. Gunner runs down to the ring and sends Magnus from the ring.

The Wolves approach Magnus and Carter from behind. Magnus takes off, and Davey Richards takes out Carter with a kick.

Then, the feud between Dixie Carter and Bobby Roode is recapped. Bobby Roode arrives at the arena and is asked about his future, and he says he will address it in the ring.

Back from commercial and Ethan Carter angrily approaches Magnus backstage and calls him out for feeding him to the Wolves. Magnus tells him to do what's right. Carter gets really sarcastic and says he'll do it before leaving.

Then, Samoa Joe is in the ring. He talks about how he doesn't have an opponent tonight. He came to Manchester to get into a fight. He calls out any resident of Dixieland to fight him. The BroMans' music hits and they come out.

They surround the ring, and Joe asks which one it's going to be. He says why not all three.

Handicap Match
Samoa Joe vs. The BroMans and Zema Ion

Joe attacks everyone. Eventually the numbers overcome him and the BroMans easily subdue Joe. Joe tries to fight back with strikes, but the heels quickly overcome him again. Zema goes up top for a dropkick, but Joe moves and Zema takes out the BroMans. He sends Zema outside and then hits a combo DDT/Russian leg sweep on Godderz and Robbie. He takes them out with a suicide dive to the outside. Back in the ring, he sets Zema up top and hits the muscle buster. Joe locks in the rear naked choke, and Zema taps.

Winner: Samoa Joe

Then, Christy Hemme is shown talking to a backstage worker. She leaves, and Samuel Shaw locks the worker in a headlock from behind. He tosses him headfirst into a steel door as things go to commercial.

Back from commercial and Bobby Roode is talking backstage with James Storm about his career and how sometimes it feels like the business slaps you in the face. He's never felt like there were very many people he could trust, and eventually he was alone because he kept pushing himself away. It's getting to be too much. Storm asks what he is saying. Roode says they have a hell of a history, and the bad stuff was on him. He says that Beer Money was special; you can't create stuff like that all the time. He knows that looking back at the end of the day, Storm was the only man he could ever trust.

Storm tells him not to do what he thinks he is going to do. He tells Roode to slap the business back in the face. That's how the business goes. It's dog eat dog, and they knew it coming in. They're the only people responsible for their actions, no one else. Roode hugs Storm and then leaves.

Then, Austin Aries walks into MVP's office. MVP asks him to be on his Lethal Lockdown team. Aries asks what's in it for him. MVP says that he can make positive changes if they win. Aries asks for MVP's word, because a lot of people have wronged him in the past. Aries says he is going to give it some serious thought before he gives his answer. He leaves.

Then, footage is shown of Madison Rayne and Gail Kim fighting backstage, with people trying to pull them apart.

Rayne rushes Kim on the ramp and attacks her with a sheet pan. Things head into the ring, and Rayne dropkicks the pan into Kim's face. She sets the pan up in the ropes in the corner and tosses Kim towards it. Kim stops herself from hitting it, and picks up a kendo stick. She chokes Rayne with it. Kim rams into Rayne with the stick and tosses it away. She tries to lock in a leg submission, but Rayne kicks her away into the pan in the corner. Rayne kicks Kim out of the ring. Rayne jumps on Tapa. Kim gets kicked in the face as Tapa spins Rayne around. Tapa rams Rayne into the apron.

Kim locks in the figure four around the ring post. She breaks the hold. Kim grabs a chair and goes to hit Rayne's leg, but Rayne moves. She kicks the chair into Kim's face. Rayne sends Kim back into the ring. She spears Kim, and Tapa gets into the ring. Rayne attacks Tapa with the sheet pan and the kendo stick. Kim attacks Rayne from behind and pins her for the win.

Back from commercial and Christy Hemme is shown talking to Mr. Anderson backstage. Samuel Shaw stares on angrily.

Then, Gunner is shown backstage. James Storm asks to talk to him, and they enter a room.

Back from commercial and Ethan Carter is asked backstage about his comments about ending Kurt Angle's career. Carter talks about how great Angle has been in his career, but he'll allow Angle to break the news next week.

Then, Gunner and James Storm are shown talking backstage. Storm asks Gunner if he's ready and talks about how much of an opportunity it is. He tells Gunner he has to think for himself. Storm says there is no feeling like holding the championship, and tells him to seize the moment. Gunner gives Storm the tag team Feast or Fired briefcase.

Next, Bobby Roode comes out to the ring. He talks about his career in TNA. There are a lot of things he isn't proud of in his career. He says that tonight is his last night as a wrestler. He can't take it anymore, and he can't take putting up with Dixie's crap. He has to walk away, and he's sorry. Roode says that before he goes, he wants to do something he's never done: thank the fans. He exits the ring, and Dixie Carter's music hits. She comes down to the ring.

She tells Roode he can't leave. He has a contract. Roode says he doesn't want to be there anymore and that he's done. Dixie says no, and brings up AJ Styles and Jeff Hardy. She says that TNA needs Roode. Roode says for what, to break promises and protect the champion? Dixie apologizes and asks Roode what he is going to do. Wrestling is in his blood. She says that Lockdown will be the most important night in the company's history. She wants him to be captain of her team.

Dixie offers Roode 10 percent ownership of TNA. Roode asks why he should believe her, and Dixie tells him to have his lawyers draw up the contract. She gives him her word she'll sign it, no questions asked. Roode accepts her offer, but tells her if she tries to screw him over he will dedicate the rest of his life to ruining hers. He leaves the ring.

Then, Jeremy Borash is backstage with the online worldwide Gutcheck winner. Samuel Shaw attacks Mr. Anderson, who is talking to Christy Hemme in the background again, and she gets knocked out. He picks her up and walks away.

Back from commercial, and Christopher Daniels and Kazarian ask Bobby Roode to be on his Lockdown team. He tells them to prove to him in their match that they're the best.

Bad Influence vs. The Wolves

Edwards and Kazarian start off. They go back and forth. Kazarian attacks Edwards in his corner. Daniels tags in and hits a shoulder tackle. He hits Richards off the apron. He attacks briefly, but the Wolves are able to rally back. Daniels and Richards end up in the ring, and Daniels takes control. He tags in Kazarian. Bad Influence double team Richards. Kazarian tags in and locks in Richards' head. Kazarian hits a heel kick. Daniels tags back in. He stomps on Richards' chest. He hits Edwards off the apron. Bad Influence exchange quick tags. Richards hits Kazarian with an enziguri. Edwards tags in. He takes both members of Bad Influence out and chops Daniels in the corner. Daniels comes back and goes for a moonsault, but he misses and the Wolves double team Daniels. They both hit Daniels with double boot stomps for the win.

Then Samuel Shaw is shown lying Christy Hemme down on a bed backstage. She wakes up and asks what's going on, and he makes her lie back down. He notices the camera filming and says hey!

Magnus gets out of the ring and circles the ring. He gets back inside. Gunner locks in a waist lock. He locks in Magnus's arm and wrenches it around. Magnus reverses into a wristlock of his own. He locks Gunner in a side headlock and takes him to the mat. Gunner gets to his feet, but Magnus keeps his head locked in. He takes Gunner back to the mat. Gunner gets to his feet, and Magnus hits a shoulder tackle. Gunner comes back with a clothesline. He hits Magnus with a back elbow. Gunner strikes Magnus in the corner. He charges, but Magnus puts a boot up. He knees Gunner in the back and sends him from the ring.

Magnus calls from help from the back, but the Wolves and James Storm walk out to make sure no one interferes as things go to commercial. Back from commercial and Gunner lands a Suplex. Magnus trips Gunner to the mat and locks in a camel clutch. Gunner gets out and backs Magnus into the corner. Magnus locks in a sleeper. Gunner fights out and slams Magnus back first to the mat. They exchange strikes. Magnus hits a big knee to the stomach.

Magnus body slams Gunner. He goes up top. He leaps off and drops an elbow on Gunner. Magnus exits the ring and grabs the title belt. He brings it into the ring. Magnus tries to hits Gunner with it, but Gunner ducks. Gunner picks Magnus up on his shoulder, but Magnus wiggles off. They both go for a crossbody at the same time. Ethan Carter and the BroMans enter the ring. The Wolves and James Storm fight them up the ramp. Back in the ring, Gunner powerbombs Magnus. Gunner goes up top. He hits Magnus with a diving headbutt and goes for the pin, but Rockstar Spud puts Magnus's foot on the ropes. Gunner chases Spud around the ring and across it. Magnus hits Gunner with the title belt off the distraction and goes for the pin, but Gunner kicks out.

Storm comes back out to ringside. Magnus tries to slam Gunner into the turnbuckle, but Gunner stops him. He charges and collides with Magnus in the corner. Gunner hits a vertical Suplex. Gunner slams Magnus to the mat and goes up top. Spud gets in the ring and yells at Gunner. Storm gets inside and tosses him out of the ring. Gunner leaps off, and Storm hits Gunner with the Last Call in midair. Magnus pins Gunner for the win.
