Impact Wrestling Review: Thumbs Up Or Down On The Lashley Title Win?

On this past episode of Impact Wrestling, MVP stacked the deck against Eric Young, forcing him to compete against both of his running mates after a villiant win at the Slammiversary pay per view. In what was a quite odd show, the Director of Operations cleared the building of all personel before the second world title match, making sure that no one interferes with his quest to dethrone EY.

On two previous occasions, Lashley defeated EY in singles matches. One could say that Lashley was the kryptonite to EY's title reign, as EY was able to go through former champions Magnus, Bobby Roode, Abyss and Bully Ray to keep his word of being a fighting champion. On Impact, this theory proved to be true, as he once again lost to Lashley. However, this one counted the most, and Lashley commenced his first reign as TNA World Heavyeight Champion.

Since his TNA return at the Lockdown pay per view, Bobby Lashley was used infrequently post- PPV, before turning heel and aligning himself with MVP and Kenny King. Even then, Lashley was mainly used as the muscle of the group bodyguarding MVP and priming his opponents to be easy competition.

In his quest to gain total power and control of Impact Wrestling, MVP inserted himself as the No. 1 contender for the world title. Unfortunately, he was injured before the match, and is unable to compete in the ring for the time being. Now, his associate, Bobby Lashley is champion. How will this pan out? Also, with the Impact Wrestling returns of Kurt Angle and Bobby Roode, how will they be inserted into the world title picture? Moreover, let's not forget about Austin Aries.

Is Lashley the right guy to have the title on the road to Bound for Glory? Thumbs up, or thumbs down? Sound off below.
