CM Punk Hosting Event With A Live Mic, Punk Comments On Gig

CM Punk will be co-hosting the red carpet pre-show of AXS TV's first-ever Alternative Press Music Awards on July 21st at the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame And Museum in Cleveland, Ohio. A press release for the event noted that it was one of Punk's first public appearance "since he stepped away from his many years in the squared circle."

"Well, I'm actually stoked to get out of the house and get gussied up for the first-ever Gibson Brands AP Music Awards, fueled by Monster Energy Drink," Punk said. "Red carpets and me don't mix, so I figure it'll be a perfectly hilarious night with friends and a live microphone?my favorite! Be there and be square!"

Juliet Simms will be co-hosting the event with Punk.
