Spoilers: Former WWE Superstar Returning To The Ring At This Week's NXT TV Tapings?

- It was noted in our WWE NXT spoiler report from September 12th that former WWE star Funaki got beat down by The Ascension in an angle set to air on the October 9th episode. The Ascension beat on Funaki and hit Fall of Man while they had Hideo Itami tied up in the ropes, forcing him to watch.

We've noted this summer how Funaki was brought to Orlando to work with the former Kenta as he settled into his new home. Funaki is back in town this week and is expected to team with Hideo at tomorrow night's NXT TV tapings from Full Sail University, likely against The Ascension. That match has not been confirmed. We will have live NXT spoilers on Thursday night.
