What CM Punk Tweeted During Steve Austin Podcast Where Vince McMahon Apologized

As noted earlier, Vince McMahon discussed CM Punk's departure on "Stone Cold" Steve Austin's podcast last night. McMahon personally apologized to Punk for Punk receiving his termination papers on his wedding day, and said that it was a coincidence. He noted that the legal department and talent relations were not on the same page.

Punk said on Colt Cabana's podcast that he received a message from Triple H two days before he was getting married, who he hadn't spoken to since he left. Punk sent Triple H a text letting him know that he was getting married in two days, and that he would call him after the honeymoon. He also asked about his royalty check that he never received. Triple H never replied, and it was two days later on his wedding day when Punk received a letter from WWE informing him that he was fired and wouldn't be receiving royalties because he breached his contract.

McMahon said that he didn't listen to Punk's appearance on Cabana's podcast, but that he heard that Punk used a lot of expletives. McMahon later said that he hopes to work with Punk again in the future.

"There have been a number of individuals in the past that have been disgruntled and said a lot of things about the organization," McMahon said. "I think that there are a lot of things that he may say that he may regret one day in terms of looking back at it. But nonetheless I hope that one day we are going to be able to get back together again. You [Austin] and I got back together again, we had our differences. [Hulk] Hogan – oh my God – we got back together again. Ultimate Warrior... there's a long list of them."

Punk made it clear that he wasn't watching the show, as he tweeted during the podcast:
