Dana White On Conor McGregor, If Ronda Rousey Will Fight Cris Cyborg, GSP, Jose Aldo, UFC 206

With no UFC event this weekend due to the cancellation of UFC Fight Night 97, "UFC Tonight" took advantage of time with Dana White to discuss a number of subjects. The president of the promotion touched base on Conor McGregor, Ronda Rousey, Cris "Cyborg" Justino, Jose Aldo and other subjects during the nearly 12-minute interview segment.

McGregor, who is slated to face Eddie Alvarez for the lightweight title at UFC 205 next month, currently holds the featherweight belt. While "Notorious" has stated he will keep both titles, White sees things a little differently.

"He'll fight. If he wins, he'll hold two belts, and then he'll decide which one he wants to give back to me," he said. "You can't tie up two divisions."

One of those divisions, featherweight, also boasts an interim champion in Jose Aldo. The Brazilian, though, recently said he plans to retire from MMA due to issues with the UFC.

"I can't make anybody fight anybody. I try the best I can to put together fights. Jose Aldo and I will probably get together next week and talk about it," he said. "I'll get him a fight all day long. Max Holloway is ready. Anthony Pettis is in that division now. I can't make Conor fight anybody. Everyone wants to fight him. When Aldo was doing it, he never aspired to be those things. I've stood in front of everybody in this sport and when fights pull out, nobody asks the way Conor does. Nobody wants to take a risk. He goes all in. It's part of the appeal and allure of Conor. When he steps up and puts all his chips on the table."

The big news Wednesday was the reveal that Rousey would return in December at UFC 207 and challenge for the bantamweight title vs. Amanda Nunes. White added that a win over Nunes would almost certainly set up a 2017 meeting with long-time rival Cyborg.

"I said she would fight Cyborg. First, Ronda's got to win," White said. "Then, I don't know what she'd going to want to do. She's told me she wants to fight Cyborg. As long as I've known her, she's always wanted to fight Cyborg. There's no doubt in my mind that she'll fight her. I don't know if she's going to defend the title several times before that."

And while rumors continue to circulate concerning a return by Georges St-Pierre, White told UFC Tonight co-host Daniel Cormier that his light heavyweight title defense vs. Anthony Johnson at UFC 206 is "the main event."

"There shouldn't be a TBD above you on this," White added.
