ROH TV Episode 319 Recap: Cody Defends ROH World Championship, Addiction Vs. Kushida & Jay Lethal

A recap of The Addiction (Frankie Kazarian & Christopher Daniels) screwing Jay Lethal out of winning the Honor Rumble a few weeks ago is shown to kick off the show.

The Addiction is shown backstage. Kazarian talks about going through 19 other men and earning his Honor Rumble win and Jay Lethal earning a thrashing tonight. Daniels talks about Lethal wanting to be Champion and Kushida wanting to show off fighting spirit. Tonight's main event will be Kushida and Jay Lethal against The Addiction.

Ian Riccaboni and Colt Cabana check in on commentary after the usual ROH signature video package. ROH World Champion Cody makes his entrance and joins the commentary team. TK O'Ryan (with Vinny Marseglia & Matt Taven) and Jonathan Gresham make their entrances.

TK O'Ryan vs. Jonathan Gresham

They lock up. O'Ryan pushes Gresham to the ropes. Gresham pushes O'Ryan. They exchange wrist locks. Gresham dropkicks O'Ryan. O'Ryan hits a running elbow on Gresham after a distraction from Taven and Marseglia. O'Ryan strikes Gresham several times in the corner. O'Ryan hits a running kick before pinning Gresham for a one count as we head into a commercial break.

O'Ryan hits a scoop slam on Gresham as we return from the commercial break. They exchange chops. Gresham strikes O'Ryan several times. Gresham goes to the second rope, O'Ryan pushes him off and out of the ring. Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley show up to prevent Marseglia and Taven from interfering. Marseglia and Taven get in the ring, as do Sabin and Shelley. Sabin and Shelley are ejected, as are Marseglia and Taven. Marseglia and Taven remain at ringside arguing with referees trying to get them to the back. Gresham crawls back into the ring. O'Ryan gets in the face of the referee before being table topped by him and Gresham. Gresham locks in an ankle lock, O'Ryan fights out of it. Gresham rolls O'Ryan up for a two count. Gresham pins O'Ryan for another two count, Marseglia pulls the referee out of the ring. O'Ryan gets a cheap shot in on Gresham. Marseglia and O'Ryan come into the ring. All three men stomp on Gresham. Sabin and Shelley come back out and chase the three of them out of the ring.

ROH World Champion Cody grabs a microphone. Cody says that now that he's a company man, he's going to right some of the wrongs at Ring Of Honor. Cody talks about The Addiction ruining a young up-start's chance recently. Cody says he feels like defending the ROH Title. Cody introduces Scorpio Sky. Scorpio Sky makes his entrance.

Cody wants Sky to kiss his "ring of honor," Sky takes a knee and does so. Sky then rolls Cody up for a two count. Cody kicks and strikes Sky. Cody goes to the second rope. Sky hits a hurricanruna from off the second rope on Cody. Cody rolls out of the ring. Sky hits a Senton to the outside on Cody. Sky rolls Cody back into the ring before pinning him for a two count. Cody rolls to the apron. Cody spikes Sky's neck on the top rope. Cody strikes Sky. Sky eventually start stomps the back of Cody. Sky hits a neck-breaker before pinning Cody for a two count. Sky rolls Cody up for another two count. Cody locks in a Crossface on Sky. Cody releases the hold and mockingly does the Yes-Chant hand gesture. Cody kicks Sky. Cody sends Sky to the corner. Sky ducks a clothesline attempt by Cody. Sky German Suplexes Cody into the turnbuckles. Cody rakes the eyes of Sky. Cody locks in the American Death-lock on Sky. Sky taps out.

Caprice Coleman checks in backstage with a Coleman's Pulpit segment. ROH Television Champion Kenny King is his guest. King talks about being willing to gamble on himself and take the title from Kushida. King talks about being a fighting Champion and wanting to defend the title everywhere. They talk about his mainstream success outside of the company. Coleman jokes about King being able to get women but not being able to keep them.

Frankie Kazarian & Christopher Daniels make their entrance. Kazarian grabs a microphone. Kazarian says that they despise everyone in the building. Daniels talks about some of the wrestlers in the back bragging about the blood they have bled for "this company". Daniels talks about "this company" going from an idea to reality because of Christopher Daniels.

IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion Kushida and Jay Lethal make their entrances.

Daniels and Kushida start the match. Daniels tags Kazarian right away. Kazarian exits the ring. Daniels grabs a microphone. Daniels asks the crowd if they want to see their opponents beat them. Daniels says that they'll never take the pain for them again and that they will take the count out. Kushida hits a Senton to the outside on Daniels and Kazarian. Lethal gets in the ring. Kushida rolls Daniels into the ring. Lethal ducks a clothesline attempt by Daniels before hitting a Suicide Dive to the outside on Kazarian. The fight spills back into the ring. Kushida hits an armdrag on Daniels as Lethal hits an armdrag on Kazarian. Lethal and Kushida dropkick their opponents as we head into a commercial break.

Lethal and Daniels are the legal men for their teams as we return from the commercial break. Lethal and Kushida both strike Daniels. Lethal clotheslines Daniels before pinning him for a two count. Kushida is tagged in. Kushida briefly locks in a headlock, Daniels pushes him to the ropes. Kushida hits a shoulder block on Daniels. Kushida hits a pair of armdrag on Daniels. Kushida connects with a forearm to Daniels. Kushida attempts to lock in an arm-lock, Daniels gets to the ropes. Kushida spikes Daniels' arm on his shoulder. Kushida dodges an attack attempt by Daniels, causing Daniels to strike Kazarian. Kushida rolls Daniels up for a two count. Kazarian pulls the leg of Kushida. Daniels hits a moonsault from the second rope on Kushida. Daniels sends Kushida out of the ring. Kazarian strikes Kushida at ringside before rolling him back into the ring. Kazarian and Daniels slam Lethal to the mat. Daniels pins Lethal for a two count. Kazarian tags back in. Lethal dodges a cross-body attempt by Kazarian, causing him to cross-body Daniels. Kushida is tagged in. Kushida kicks Kazarian. Kushida hits an arm-drag on Kazarian. Kushida locks in a cross arm-breaker on Kazarian.
