WWE Tag Team Championship Match Finlay started the match dominating Morrison. There were a few comedy spots like Finlay using Hornswoggle as a battering ram and Finlay and Hornswoggle doing tandem splashes on their opponents. The finish of the match saw Hornswoggle go to the top rope for a tadpole splash, but Morrison caught Hornswoggle and slammed him to the mat to get the pinfall. Winner: Miz and Morrison when Morrison pinned Hornswoggle Jerry Lawler and Michael Cole reviewed the John Cena - Triple H match.
United States Championship Match Winner And Still United States Champion: Matt Hardy via pinfall There was a recap of the 'McMahon Million Dollar Mania' ending with the 'accident' this past Monday night. Tazz and Mike Adamle noted that the McMahon family will issue a formal statement tomorrow night on Raw.
ECW Championship Match The three worked a typical big man triple threat match, with two men wrestling in the ring and one outside injured. The announcers noted that Mark Henry was competing for his first major title. At one point Big Show chokeslammed Kane, but Kane kicked out. Big Show then went to climb the ropes, but Kane was able to catch him and deliver a suplex. When he landed, Mark Henry splashed Kane and got the win. Winner And New ECW Champion: Mark Henry Eve interviewed Batista backstage who said he was going to bring the World Championship to Raw. John Cena approached Batista and shook his hand. Cena told him that if Batista wins the belt, he may not be the only one bringing a belt. CM Punk then approached them both, and said that he hopes they both win since his briefcase is getting awfully heavy.
WWE World Tag Team Championship Match Rhodes tagged in Dibiase, who got Holly in the million dollar dream which followed into a slam and got the pin. Winner And New World Tag Team Champions: Cody Rhodes and Ted Dibiase Todd Grisham interviewed JBL in a luxury box. JBL noted that with Vince McMahon out with his injury, he's the richest person in WWE. JBL ran down Dallas and their sports teams, specifically the Cowboys. Pointless segment.
WWE Intercontinental Championship Kofi did some cool jumps and kicks early on, including a flying cross body from the top. The two went back and forth, and both were working a good match although there were scattered chants of 'Boring' from the crowd. The crowd did get into the match more as it went on. Jericho was able to cinch in the Walls Of Jericho on Kingston but Shawn Michaels ran in from the crowd and knocked down Lance Cade. Jericho bumped Michaels off the ring and Kingston was able to hit the 'Trouble In Paradise' to get the pin to a bib pop. Winner And New Intercontinental Champion: Kofi Kingston Michaels was being attended to at ringisde selling that he was re-injured from being bumped off of the ring. Michaels was being helped to the back and Jericho went up to him and nailed Michaels in his injured eye. Michaels sold it big to the point of over selling. Edge, Vickie, Ryder and Hawkins were shown backstage. Ryder and Hawkins insinuated that Edge needed help to win tonight, and Edge went off about his credentials, saying that he didn't need help. The Gilette commercial starring Vince McMahon and John Cena was shown.
WWE Women's Championship Match The match itself was nothing spectacular, but wasn't bad either. Mickie James got the win after hitting a DDT on Lea. Winner And Still Women's Champion: Mickie James
World Heavyweight Championship Match Edge came to the ring first, followed by Batista. Batista was introduced first in the ring to a mixed response, but Edge got all boos when he was introduced. The two worked a real good match. At one point Batista hit Edge with a spear but Edge kicked out right before three. Batista went for a Batista bomb but Edge was able to jump out and hit an impaler DDT for a two count. Vickie Guerrero, Ryder and Hawkins made their way to ringside. Batista hit a Batista bomb on Edge and was about to get a three count when Vickie pulled Edge out. Edge was thrown out of the ring. The referee started counting Edge out and Edge punched out the ref. Vickie asked for another referee, and Chavo Guerrero came out with a referee shirt. Batista brought Vickie Guerrero in the ring, pressed her and threw her on La Familia. Edge nailed Batista with the championship belt and Chavo counted three for the win for Edge. Winner via Pinfall And Still World Heavyweight Champion: Edge A promo for The Great American Bash aired. Triple H was shown walking to the ring in the back looking like he had the orange Hulk Hogan tan. A video package was shown hyping up the Cena - Triple H match.
WWE Championship Match Best match of the night and probably Cena's best match since his return from his injury. Cena spent a lot of the match working on Triple H's knee. At one point Triple H hit a pedigree but sold the knee, and only got a two count. Crowd got solidly behind The Game as the match went on. Later Triple H went for a pedigree again, but Cena was able to reverse it and put Triple H in the STFU, the move that Triple H submitted to when they faced each other at WrestleMania 22. Triple H almost made the ropes, but Cena pulled him to the middle of the ring and tried to re-apply it, but Triple H blocked it and then put Cena in the STFU! Cena powered out and almost got Triple H in the FU, but Triple H powered out and hit the pedigree to win the match and retain the WWE Championship. Winner And Still WWE Champion: Triple H After the much, Cena walked to the back favoring his right shoulder, and Lawler speculated that Cena may have re-injured his pectoral muscle.
