Sting met Kurt Angle for the first time when TNA filmed the promo of Angle at an empty warehouse in Nashville with TNA's six-sided ring. Sting was among the few who knew of Angle's signing with TNA. Sting also filmed footage earlier in the afternoon on the same day as well.

Samoa Joe was said to have been disappointed by the lack of fan reaction when he "stole" Jeff Jarrett's NWA World Title from the announce table following his win over Jarrett at the No Surrender PPV. A majority of the attention went on Jim Cornette when he came out to announce TNA's upgraded timeslot on Spike TV and then later pointing at the video screens when the Kurt Angle announcement aired.
