Even though Paul Heyman had scripted CM Punk to be eliminated first in the extreme elimination chamber, it was Vince McMahon's call to basically bury him in the match.
Heyman wrote the December to Dismember PPV, although he wrote the PPV largely to appease McMahon.
Heyman's status will likely be determined today when McMahon returns from Iraq.
The general belief is that Heyman hasn't been fired, and is under at least a short term contract extension.
Heyman did write last week's ECW on Sci Fi show, so this week's episode will be the first under Dave Lagana as head writer.
