UFC middleweight champion Rich Franklin is recovering in Las Vegas after undergoing surgery Tuesday to repair a broken left hand suffered in defense of his title Saturday against David Loiseau. The Cincinnati native, who scored a unanimous decision over Loiseau at UFC 58, had a plate and seven screws inserted in his hand, which was injured in round two of the five round bout. He is expected to be out for 6 to 8 months. For more MMA coverage, visit WrestlingInc.com
