According to a media release sent out by WWE, John Cena vs. Edge for the WWE Championship will be the main event for this years WWE Unforgiven PPV on September 17, 2006.

Also, there is a lot of talk that Trish Stratus will be involved in a match at the PPV that will somehow write her out of the storylines for a while. She is getting married in late September and is said to be exploring her options for her future. Whether she will return to WWE or wrestling in general is unknown.
