WWE gets terrible news, Ortiz gets ripped and more

WWE gets terrible news, Ortiz gets ripped and morePWInsider.com is reporting that this week's edition of Raw did a 2.8 cable rating. While Raw ratings have been on a free fall ever since Hornswoggle was announced as Vince McMahon's illegitimate son, this number is downright scary for WWE . Hopefully this number is an error, like earlier this summer when Nielsen reported that Raw did a 2.5 cable rating, only to announce a few days later that the number was an error and a corrected number was never announced. However, with ratings dropping steadily over the past month, and with last week's rating being a 3.1, there is a very good chance that the number is legit.

ESPN did a 10 cable rating for the Dallas vs. Buffalo game, which was up from the 9.0 that last week's game did and the Indians-Yankees game hurt WWE as well as they did a 7.0 for the deciding game of the series. However, WWE is also coming off it's first WWE Championship title change in a year, which one would have thought would have maintained, if not improved, ratings for this week.

This number is also scary because their top star, John Cena, is out for longer than expected and won't be around for the foreseeable future. WWE is losing adults at a rapid rate and they seem oblivious to that fact. The week that Hornswoggle was announced as Vince's illegitimate son, Raw did a 3.9. A month later, it's doing a 2.8.

MMAFightLine.com has comments by Michael Bisping about Tito Ortiz. Ortiz was originally slated to fight Rashad Evans in a rematch from earlier this year, however he kept stalling and the UFC went with a Bisping - Evans fight. Bisping said that "Ortiz didn’t have the balls to fight him [Evans] again."
