Jim Ross On Austin, Lawler's Commentary, MVP/Hardy, More

Jim Ross On Austin, Lawler's Commentary, MVP/Hardy, MoreJim Ross has posted yet another blog entry on his official web site. Below are the highlights:

- I feel very certain that if Stone Cold had not encountered serious neck and spinal injuries that, at worst, he would be wrestling a part time schedule these days. Austin is still a fan and a student of the game, but his neck issues take precedent over his heart and what it wants to do.

- I think the sky is the limit for Lance Cade in singles competition when the day comes for the Omaha native to go there. Cade has size, speed, youth, and is continuing to build his TV persona, which is evolving nicely. Also being trained by HBK did not hurt Cade’s entry into the business.

- Morrison, Punk and Miz are all in the same basic standing, in my perspective, in that they are all young and should keep improving, and none are close to peaking. Punk has more in-ring experience, I would surmise, so the ECW Champion might be leading his peers by a nose. Most weeks I really enjoy ECW as they feature more wrestling in their one hour show than most hours of wrestling on TV.

- Your promotion of Abdullah the Butcher for the WWE Hall of Fame has been printed and acknowledged. I agree that Abby is a legend. I have “put in good words for people that have paved the way” more than you would ever imagine.

- I would suggest that the UK would be an awesome place to vacation if one would take the time to invest a couple of weeks there. Personally, I have never taken a two week vacation from the WWE since 1993. The only time I have been off is when I was not with the company or was ill. Even when I was ill I did several of my non-televised duties. I have never been big on missing Raw if I could help it, but Oklahoma U still has a chance at the Monday, January 7 BCS National Title Game, which would definitely be good cause for me to miss a week.

- So you think that Michael Hayes has brain damage after watching the Legends Roundtable on WWE 24/7 do you? I am no doctor, nor have I ever played one on TV, although my faux arse once got ample TV time, but I would think that P.S. is as sane as anyone else on the panel, including yours truly. However, late night tapings with the Freebird can get a little edgy, but it is an entertaining edgy isn’t it?

- My wife went to Wal-Mart and purchased the new Eagles CD, and yes, it is wonderful. Regarding the KC Chiefs, I am a big fan of head coach Herm Edwards, so any successes the Chiefs have don’t surprise me. I do think the Priest Holmes comeback story is an amazing one.
