Carlito's WWE Status, Ric Flair's Son/WWE, RVD, More

Carlito's WWE Status, Ric Flair's Son/WWE, RVD, MoreCarlito, frustrated with his position in WWE, gave his notice to the company several weeks ago. The feeling was that he'd try to get a job with TNA, since two to three dates in Orlando per month combined with work in his father's promotion in Puerto Rico isn't too bad of gig. WWE began jobbing him out and putting him in embarrassing storylines with Hornswoggle. But then Vince McMahon decided that having another guy leave for TNA, particularly a young star, might get people talking. So last week before Raw he sat down with Carlito and convinced him to stay.

WWE has signed Reid Fliehr, 19, the youngest son of Ric Flair, to a developmental contract. He will be starting in Florida Championship Wrestling in January.

The 12/4 SmackDown/ECW house show in Belfast, Ireland drew a sellout crowd of 7,000 fans. UFC held an event in the same arena a few months ago and didn't sell out. Although, UFC charged far higher prices. Fans, kids in particular, were disappointed that Rey Mysterio didn't appear at the show. He didn't go the tour of Europe.

WWE management was aware of Rob Van Dam’s monster pop that he received on Monday’s RAW and would definitely be interested in bringing him back.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Monday’s RAW was the highest rated three hour special to date for World Wrestling Entertainment.
