Heavyweight title fight announced at Lesnar's UFC debut show

Heavyweight title fight announced at Lesnar's UFC debut showMMAFightLine.com is reporting that Brock Lesnar's fight with former UFC Heavyweight Champion Frank Mir will not be the main event of UFC 81, but will rather be on the undercard.

Former UFC Heavyweight Champion Tim Sylvia, who lost the title to reigining champion Randy Couture earlier this year, confirmed yesterday that his next fight will come at UFC 81: Breaking Point. The top heavy weight contender, by virtue of his recent victory over highly regarded Brandon Vera, will likely square off against Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira. According to reports, Nogueira and Sylvia have already signed on to fight one another, but that has yet to be confirmed. Sylvia himself sheds further light on the situation with the following post from his personal website:

Just found out I'm fighting February 2nd, on the Super Bowl show in Las Vegas. I can't say who I'm fighting yet, but I'll let you all know as soon as I can.

Deer season went really well. I'm back in training now, been training for the last three weeks. -Tim

Nogueira and Sylvia will be fighting for the heavyweight title vacated by Randy Couture. For more on this story, and for more UFC and MMA news, visit MMAFightLine.com by clicking here.
