www.PWMania.com conducted an interview with Colt Cabana. Below is the complete interview:
Andy Steven: Thank you for taking time out of your busy schedule to take part in this interview for www.PWMania.com. How did you break into the wrestling business and what have you been up to recently?
Colt Cabana: I broke into the wrestling business much like the Kool-Aid man. I burst through the wall of my local wrestling training camp saying "OOOOOOOOOOH YEAH"!. Recently, I've matured a lot. I'm now a man of Crystal Light! It's much healthier.
Andy Steven: How did you get in contact with Ring of Honor or who brought you into the company?
Colt Cabana: CM Punk and I had been working very hard on the Midwest Indy scene and eventually also over to the East Coast too. Word had spread of our sillyness and there were interests by both sides to work with each other. The rest is history.
Andy Steven: You got your break in ROH with current ECW wrestler CM Punk, with you being CM Punk’s sablemate in the Second City Saints. What are your memories of teaming with CM Punk and the Second City Saints and do you still keep in contact with CM Punk?
Colt Cabana: Punk and I have been a team since basically the first month I was training. We travelled the roads together a very long time. Same with Ace Steel, the other member of the Saints, and our trainer. I loved teaming and wrestling Punk. He's my brother in wrestling and life. I talk to him everyday.
Andy Steven: You have wrestled around the world from the USA to the UK to Japan. Where do you most enjoy wrestling?
Colt Cabana: Obviously I love wrestling in Chicago. A) It's my hometown B) I don’t have to travel very far to wrestle. When it comes to international wrestling, I think the answer will always be England just for the appreciation of the days of World of Sport and the fact that I'm following in the footsteps of many of my British wrestling heroes.
Andy Steven: You won the ROH tag team championship with CM Punk. How did that run go and would you rather be in singles action or tag team?
Colt Cabana: Again. Punk and I gel'd together as a tag team because we grew up in wrestling together. We were a team in real life. I don't mind either way when it comes to wrestling. Tag team or singles are both fine. As long as I get to have fun and put oil all over my body before I enter the ring.
Andy Steven: You were involved in a great feud with Homicide and Homicide strangled you with a metal coat hanger, you were bleeding from chair shots, having Draino poured down your throat, being piledriven off the ring apron through a table and getting your head crushed between a ladder. Tell is about this feud and how much thought was put into it?
