Kurt Angle has issued a response to his name being included in the Sports Illustrated story regarding the bust of a steroid operation in Florida. Here is what Angle had to say: "I did not improperly receive prescriptions. It is well documented that in my career I have broken vertebrae in my neck on five occasions and each time the course of treatment was under the care and supervision of my Doctors. Any attempt to link me to the athletes in the current news accounts who may have improperly sought performance-enhancing drugs is without foundation." TNA Wrestling has declined to comment on the situation.
Kurt Angle's involvement in the Florida steroid story was picked up in his hometown of Pittsburgh, PA. Angle was a the focus of the story as he is considered a local celebrity.
