Think about the long list of names who have never gotten to that first elusive world championship. Now shudder. Consider the Ted DiBiases, the Jake Roberts, the Roddy Pipers, and the Scott Halls. Each of them - at some point in their career - were more than deserving of a chance to get to carry their respective companies.

And - again - I invite you to shudder. Because at least David Arquette was not writing himself into the main events.

News Item: Sting fails to win the NWA title on 4/26 iMPACT

Gut Reaction: I'm not so sure he should even be in the title picture anyway. Have you ever heard the name Ric Flair? I know he's a little younger than (geriat)Ric and TNA's roster is filled with, in the words of Kevin Nash, "vanilla midgets," but there HAS to be somebody else to which they can hand a title shot. AJ? Daniels? Joe? Angle? Or...maybe TNA did the right thing in keeping Cage as champion.

You should know: TNA wrestling expert Kariyanine called the non-title change a wasted opportunity. If you'd like to read more about it, e-mail me and I'll send you a link.

News Item: Cena Retains at Backlash

Gut Reaction: I like John Cena and I think he is good for wrestling. I invite you to tell me why you do not like him, as I get a feeling somehow that there are one or two of you out there.

News Item: Brady's boss is looking over his shoulder.

Gut reaction: Thank god for Alt-Tab. And thank god that's all I have for today.
