Our good friend Dory Funk Jr. sent the following& John Laurinaitis has asked wrestling legend Dory Funk Jr. to be a trainer with the new Tampa development territory. Funk has been invited to WWE headquarters to train (along with Pat Patterson) the selected talent to try out as was the case in 1998 and 1999. Funk will maintain his training facility in Ocala, FL and will help with training as directed by Vince McMahon. At this point, a Tampa area building is being sought out as the new training facility that will house three rings. Steve Keirn is a WWE road agent, so it's unlikely he will run the facility by himself. I have also heard Mike Bucci will help with booking the new territory, but will travel back and forth from Stamford, CT.
