The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that Vince didn’t make up his mind until recently on how to handle the RVD departure. Van Dam was never asked to stay the extra week or two, but Vince had talked about wanting him to. The original plan for One Night Stand was actually to have RVD beat Orton to surprise the fans who knew Van Dam was leaving and thought he would lose for sure, but it appears that Vince was talked out of that.
In other Vince news, the car bomb angle from Raw is being reported all over the place by minor news websites as if it were real. For those who are still unaware, it is just another fake wrestling storyline.
