The Vince McMahon 'Death' Saga, More WWE Notes

The Vince McMahon 'Death' Saga, More WWE NotesAs we first reported on Saturday, there was a lot of talk within WWE this past weekend about how much longer the Vince McMahon "death angle" will continue after the passing of Sherri Martel this past Friday. All indications at this point is that they will still be going through with it even more starting with tonight's live Raw broadcast in Richmond, VA.

Speaking of the McMahon angle, WWE felt a lot of pressure from the USA Network as of late because of the slumping ratings for Raw since WrestleMania. As a result, the company felt they needed to load up the Raw roster after the WWE Draft last Monday (which they did) and really brought attenion up with the "limo explosion" angle with McMahon. With Smackdown not bringing in the revenue that Raw does, it is obvious which brand will become priority for the company right now.

The Wall Street Journal has added an article about the Vince McMahon angle last Monday. The article makes it clear that McMahon isn't really dead and that the whole thing is a storyline. Given that the WWE stock took a decent hit last week, it appears this was done to reassure stockholders.
