Chris Benoit vs. CM Punk for the vacant ECW title is up next. Johnny Nitro was named as Chris Benoit's replacement. As reporter earlier, Benoit had to miss the event due to personal reasons. Fans started chanting “We Want Benoit” early in the match. Johnny Nitro pinned CM Punk after a neckbreaker to win the ECW title. The ECW title is officially dead. The match itself wasn’t bad, but the crowd wasn’t into it from the beginning which hurt it.
