Jeremy Stephens next fight will be on 7/28/07 for the Midwest Cage Championships "Heatwave 9" event at the BUSC arena in Urbandale, IA. Stephens impressed many MMA fans in his losing effort to Din Thomas at UFC 71. Stephens has a three fight deal with the UFC and has been given the OK to fight on this show to get a win before returning to the Octagon.

MMAScoops.com is reporting that Jorge Gurgel was taken to hospital after his unanimous decision victory over Diego Saraiva due to chipping a piece of his jaw and it twisted and urinating blood. This fight was awarded fight of the night by the UFC.
