It was announced last night on RAW that John Cena will defend his WWE Heavyweight Championship against Randy Orton at SummerSlam next month. The match is slated to be the RAW main event of pay-per-view of the summer.
Triple H will also make his long awaited in-ring return at the event.
SummerSlam will take place on August 26, 2007 at the Continental Airlines Arena in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
WWE will be releasing a special divas magazine on 8/14. The magazine will feature Ashley, Kelly Kelly, Jillian, Kristal, Michelle McCool, Layla, Melina, Victoria and others. They did the shoot back in May when they were in Los Angeles. There's a sneak preview of the magazine in the latest issue of WWE Magazine, which features Triple H on the cover.
ROH star Matt Sydal has committed to Ring of Honor and Dragon Gate through the summer. He has had talks with WWE, and if you caught the Wrestling Elite radio interview with CM Punk, he noted that Sydal was recently backstage at a WWE event.
