News On The Rock, SD! Rating, More News & NotesThe Rock made a special guest appearance on Friday Night’s NFL Access on the NFL network. He was on the program to plug the release of Disney’s “The Game Plan” on 9/28. The Rock said the movie is a “big comedy.” He said it was shot in Boston, and in the film, he plays a Super Bowl MVP quarterback. The Rock said he ruptured his Achilles shooting the movie. The Rock’s appearance on the NFL network marked the third straight year he made predictions for weekend NFL football games. For the record, The Rock predicted that the Colts, the Packers, the Eagles, the Buccaneers, the Patriots, the Cardinals, the Ravens, the 49ers, the Steelers, and the Broncos would win this weekend.

Based on Nielsen Media Research's fast national numbers, last night's edition of Friday Night Smackdown scored a 2.6 broadcast rating. The final number should be available early next week.

from Jorge Uribe: I was watching the KTLA news after Smackdown last night when they talked about Chris Benoit's journal entries, the reporter said that Benoit suffered from brain damaged caused by years of steroid use (and not by concussions which is what I was lead to believe).
