The plan for TNA's major announcement at the No Surrender PPV later tonight in Orlando, FL will indeed involve iMPACT! expanding to two hours on Spike TV beginning in October (a start date hasn't been revealed at this point, but some time in early October is expected).
In regards to a report about the company negotiation with a "former World champion", there are at least three names TNA has been talking with somewhat seriously and one of the names is someone they have confidence they can get. However, no deal is believed to have been completed with anyone they have been talking with. Brock Lesnar looks like he could get a long shot given his recent talks with UFC, but anything is possible.
