Tonight's TNA taping will be for the January 8th edition of TNA iMPACT!. The January 1st edition of iMPACT! will be a "Year in Review" show.

Last night's dark match was Angelina Love defeating Portia Perez. Perez is a Canadian wrestler and regular performer for the SHIMMER Women's Athletes promotion.

There was also an Xplosion match taped last night at the iMPACT! tapings, which saw Consequences Creed defeated Sonjay Dutt.

Rey Mysterio has not signed a new contract as it had been reported. WWE wants to lock him up for five-years, while Mysterio wants to sign a three-year deal. Mysterio wants the out after three years, because if the wrestling scene gets hot again in Mexico he would likely get a good deal, for less guaranteed money, but would have, "upsides that go with being the top guy in a company."
