THQ Responds To Rumors, Cena Lawsuit Dropped, Big Daddy V
» In a recent report, the Wrestling Observer Newsletter issued a list of 35 WWE legends slated to appear in the upcoming "Legends of Wrestlemania" video game. According to the list, Randy Savage and Mick Foley are being left off the game. Jeff Wilen of the JAWBreaker contacted THQ about it and rep Jaime Jensen e-mailed him back. Jensen said all rumored names for the game are considered speculation/Internet rumor. "Our announced roster at this point is as follows: Hulk Hogan, Andre the Giant, Bobby "The Brain" Heenan, Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Rock (and) Jimmy Hart. All other talent names floating around at this juncture are considered speculation/Internet rumor," Jensen said. "We expect more names to be announced over the coming months. The total talent list will be around 40 Legends and managers."

» Due to weather conditions causing travel issues, a planned "WWE Legends" promotion at tonight's Peoria Rivermen minor league hockey game has been postponed. While the game will still take place as canceled, appearances by WWE Legends Jerry "The King" Lawler, Koko B. Ware and "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan will be rescheduled for a later date.

» WWE returns to the Toyota Center in Kennewick, Washington on February 6th, 2009. Tickets go on sale January 17th, 2009. This will be the first WWE event in Kennewick since the spring of 2006. » Attorneys representing Jamal Grinnage and Eric Murray, members of the hip hop group The M.O.P., informed the United States District Court of New York on December 3 that on behalf of their clients they were voluntarily dropping their clients lawsuit against John Cena, World Wrestling Entertainment, Sony Music, Stephanie Music (WWE's music publishing company) and other entities reports PWInsider. Judge Leonard B. Sand signed off on the dismissal on December 8. The M.O.P. group had filed a lawsuit against Cena and WWE stating they were upset over the company sampling their song "Ante Up" for Cena's theme song "My Time is Now." They had been requesting damages over the use of the song on TV, PPV, DVDs, CDS and ringtones. There was no indication given why the lawsuit was suddenly dropped.

» It was announced that former WWE Superstar Big Daddy V is coming to World Wrestling Council in Puerto Rico on the first weekend of next year.
