Melina beat out five other WWE Divas at last nights Diva Battle Royal on Raw to secure a WWE Women's Championship title shot at the Royal Rumble against Beth Phoenix. Melina will have an opportunity to become a three-time champion.

Due to the Liberty Bowl game, The Score in Canada will be airing Smackdown at 9 PM (ET) on January 2nd, 2009. Smackdown returns to 8 PM (ET) the following week.

Following the eliminations of Randy Orton and Chris Jericho in last nights Fatal Four Way Elimination Match on Raw, Shawn Michaels was forced to obey John Bradshaw Layfield, allowing him to win the match. As a result, JBL has secured a World Heavyweight Championship title shot against John Cena at next month's Royal Rumble pay-per-view.

The Smackdown house show in Barstow, California on February 8th, 2009 has been canceled. The Smackdown house show in Bakersfield, California has been moved to February 8th, 2009 at the Rabobank Theater. It was originally going to be held at the Rabobank Arena on February 9th, 2009.
