- A promo video aired on WWE's SmackDown last night stating that 2007 WWE Diva Search winner Eve Torres will finally be making her debut on next Friday night's broadcast. Torres had been down in WWE's developmental territory working on her ring skills.

- As posted last night, WWE released head ECW writer Dave Lagana yesterday. Sources say Lagana, like most within WWE, had his share of both friends and enemies but he was always seen as a better assistant to someone like Dusty Rhodes. Lagana was looked at more of an "internet expert" than a writer or producer, although he is one of the people credited for some of John Cena's early heel work against The Undertaker.

Dusty Rhodes is expected to take over the duties of head writer for the ECW brand now.
