Vince Gets Hollywood Star, Piper's Return, WWE/UFC, Bonaduce vs. Margera, More

Vince Gets Hollywood Star, Piper's Return, WWE/UFC, Bonaduce vs. Margera, More

It was a big day for Vince McMahon as the Chairman of World Wrestling Entertainment received his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame with a ceremony this morning which started at 11:30AM PST. McMahon was among other 17 individuals who were nominated for 2008 and he was placed in the Television category. The star - the 2,357th on the Walk of Fame - is located at 6801 Hollywood Blvd., next to Hollywood and Highland, near the famed Grauman's Chinese Theatre. His son Shane and son-in-law Triple H spoke at the ceremony. Vince had to pay a $25,000 fee towards the Hollywood Historic Trust after being chosen. It's not like that sum of money will leave a large hole in his pocket anyway! In their update for the press, the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce listed today's ceremony with the headline 'Smack down on the Boulevard'. (Thanks to Colin Vassallo)

Roddy Piper will make an appearance tomorrow night at a Celebrity Boxing show in Broomall, PA at the Marple Sports Arena. The show is headlined by Danny Bonaduce vs. Bam Margera of Jackass fame.

Yesterday's Yahoo sport buzz had WWE No. 1 again, with UFC No. 6 and Maria at No. 15.

Mick Foley, Rob Van Dam and Christy Hemme appear this weekend at the Wizard World convention at the Los Angeles Convention Center.

The 6/13 TripleMania show at Palacio del los Deportes will be AAA's first PPV offering in Mexico. There is still talk that the show could air on American PPV.
