Controversial college basketball coach Bobby Knight has rejected TNA’s offer to become their first-ever “head coach”. A spokesman for Texas Tech University contacted TNA to inform them that Knight would not take them up on their offer, nor would he tape a brief segment for TNA iMPACT!. Jeff Jarrett commented on the situation at TNA's official website. "We knew luring Coach Knight to TNA wrestling was a long-shot, sort of like a half-court shot at the buzzer, but we had to give it a shot." Jarrett added, "The door is always open to Coach Knight.”

Wade Keller of the Professional Wrestling Torch is reporting that Matt Hardy had elbow surgery while he was out recovering from a burst appendix in November. This is one of the reasons why Hardy was out of action for so long, however, he is now said to be 100%.
