8:00 – SmackDown opens with Edge making his way to the ring with Vicki, Chavo and the Edgeheads.

Edge makes Teddy Long set up Vicki’s wheelchair and she settles in motioning for Teddy to push her.

“I have never been so ticked off in my life. I stand out here and I feel naked. Losing to the Undertaker, I feel like I let myself down. I feel like I let all of you down. But most importantly, baby, I feel like I’ve let you down and I’m sorry. I am so sorry. I’m a big enough man to apologize, but I want to promise to you, on our passion, on our love, on my loyalty and faithfulness for you that very soon, once again I will be the World Heavyweight Champion.”

The crowd boos loudly. Edge hands Chavo the mic.

“I too feel like I let the family down, like I let the entire Guerrero family down, but Kane, Kane he cheated. Kane doesn’t have the guts to face me, mano e mano, face to face. But just like the newest member of the Guerrero family, Vicki, I too promise you, I promise you Edge, and all of you, I will once again become your ECW Champion.”

Vicki takes the mic; “As General Manager of SmackDown, I have something to say. As General Manager of SmackDown, it is my pleasure to announce to both of you that you will get your opportunity again at the next PPV, Backlash. Also, it is an honor to announce tonight that both of your respective opponents will face each other. Tonight Champion vs. Champion, brother vs. brother, Kane vs. Undertaker.”

***COMMERCIAL BREAK***

8:14 – Back from commercial break with MVP making his way to the ring.

MVP vs. Matt Hardy

The bell rings and MVP gets Hardy in the corner. Hardy punches MVP. MVP tries to get Hardy in the opposite corner but Hardy gets his foot up.

Hardy gets MVP in the other corner then takes him down with a neckbreaker. The pair exchange punches and then the match heads out of the ring.

Hardy picks up MVP and tosses him back into the ring then whips him into the ropes and takes him down with a clothesline and follows up with a elbow drop and a cover. 1 count.

MVP gets up and starts punching Hardy. Hardy fires back several kicks. Hardy whips MVP into the ropes and takes him down with the clothesline.

MVP rolls out of the ring but Hardy follows him and starts hammering him with elbows to the head. Hardy tosses MVP back into the ring. MVP gets Hardy tangled in the ropes and takes him down with an elbow to the head. MVP pulls Hardy to the middle of the ring and starts slamming Hardy’s head against the mat.
