Today's WWE Releases, WWE Creative, Backstage WWE News
I reported on Tuesday of this past week that the talk backstage at RAW Monday night was that up to six more releases could be coming by the end of this week. Well, you got six of them today. There could even be more releases on the way. We'll have to wait and see.

The release of Cherry comes as a surprise to many as she had been used in a prominent role on SmackDown! in recent months. Colin Delaney's recent heel turn never took off with the ECW audience but that is a little surprising as well as he had been featured on ECW.

Freddy Prinze Jr. will be working under Michael Hayes on Smackdown.

The Sandman's son, Tyler Fullington, going by the name Twisted Sand, is scheduled to debut in a street fight on 8/23 against Kevin James in Clementon, NJ at the local amusement park.

Jerry "The King" Lawler and Memphis businessman Joe Cooper were looking to build a five-story hotel with 80 hotel suites on Beale Street (a street in downtown Memphis, Tennessee), but those plans appear to be off the cards due to a rash of recent developments.
