Backstage News On Freddie Prince's Leave - Leaked Spoilers?
As noted earlier, Freddie Prinze Jr. was released from WWE last week. He was still in the loop on everything regarding last week's TV shows. Stephanie McMahon approached him a few months ago about adding to his duties and heading up new projects. He was offered a promotion and more money but very politely declined and told them he was actually a few days away from giving his notice to the company. Stephanie was caught off-guard by this and talked him into staying part-time for a short period of time. Prinze had not traveled with the writing team in many weeks but was included on all script drafts that went out by e-mail and if he gave any feedback to those scripts, nobody is aware of it. Prinze did help WWE with their Oscars party in Beverly Hills last week and the feeling was that both sides hope to maintain some sort of a relationship even though he is gone from creative.

There has been speculation that Freddie Prinze Jr. was one of the creative writers leaking WWE information. There is no truth to those reports. Prinze left WWE because of the demanding schedule, which is one of the main reasons other writers have departed from the company.
