Recent reports have indicated that Sony Entertainment has picked up the theatrical distribution rights to "Southland Tales" starring The Rock, Kevin Smith, and Sarah Michelle-Gellar. The post-apocalyptical film by "Donnie Darko" director Richard Kelly was met with negative reviews at the Cannes Film Festival awhile back. The three hour film is expected to be edited greatly before it is released.

Over the last several days, there have been rumblings on the Internet movie websites that the Spy Hunter feature film has been shelved. Producer Adrian Askarieh has contacted a number of sites to deny that the project is dead. Midway Games, which owns the video game that the film is based on, has been developing a new game using The Rock's visage and voice for Alec Decker in conjunction with the film's eventual release.
