Multichannel News has an article up about the continued TV negotiations between TNA Wrestling and Spike TV and how TNA's current deal with the network expires in September. A new deal between TNA and Spike TV could see the network give iMPACT! a second hour as well as other live-event programming. The article noted that Impact has averaged 1.3 million viewers and a 1.1 household rating the past 36 weeks. To view the article, click here.
PWInsider is reporting that in addition to TNA having ongoing TV negotiations with Spike TV, the network has also been meeting with the Fox Network about a multi-network deal that could include FX and one other outlet. As noted in the Multichannel article, a new deal with Spike could bring the opportunity to do more live-event programming. TNA has reportedly had interest in doing a "Clash of the Champions" style live event, much like UFC's "Fight Night Live" events on Spike.
