WWE/HD Update, UFC using Lesnar WWE footage, Maria/Playboy, More

A video promoting the jump to HD is up at WWE.com. As noted earlier, there is talk within WWE about producing new sets for RAW and ECW to help coincide with the official HD launch at the end of this month. The company's production team ran its first production with the new HD equipment this past Monday.

UFC and WWE came to an agreement that has resulted in the UFC 81 promotional trailer featuring footage of Brock Lesnar from his time in World Wrestling Entertainment. If you haven't seen the trailer, you can do so at youtube.com/watch?v=eRO4Ua6warY.

WWE will be launching a new magazine for children. Insert your own joke here. "WWE Kids" will be geared towards 6-14 year olds. The first issue hits this April. A subscription card can be found in the February 2008 issue of WWE magazine with Jeff Hardy on the cover.

We had been reporting for weeks about WWE's Playboy cover firl for this year, and it is now confirmed that Maria will in fact be posing for Playboy this year. She will be on the cover of the magazine, which will be hitting newsstands in late March as part of the promotion of WrestleMania.
