More RAW, SD!, ECW, & iMPACT! Ratings Figures Inside

Here is a breakdown for the latest WWE and TNA television ratings courtesy of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter:

WWE Monday Night Raw on July 7 drew a final 3.5 cable rating (or a 3.51). The first hour drew 5,019,000 viewers, while the second hour drew 5,272,000 viewers. The overrun of the show did a large 4.12 rating. The show did a 2.39 in the 18-49 demographic and 3.19 in males 18-49.

Other past Raw rating notes: The June 16 edition of Raw that drew a 3.30 rating with 5.21 million viewers would be increased to a 3.45 rating with 5.45 million viewers if DVR and tape usage was factored in. 6/16 was week two of McMahon's Million Dollar Mania. The June 30 edition of Raw, which drew a 3.50 rating, had 5.15 million viewers.

The July 4th edition of WWE Friday Night Smackdown drew a 1.62 broadcast rating with 2.87 million viewers. While this was a 28% drop from last week's rating, it was considered a solid number given that the show feel on a holiday and wasn't as big of a drop as it was in year's past. A July 4 Smackdown in 2002 was down 38% from a previous week and this year's show didn't air in Philadelphia or Chicago (although last week's show didn't air in the New York market).

Some other Smackdown rating notes: The June 20 edition of Smackdown, around 130,000 homes watched the show ontape or DVR. So right now the show is averaging 95% live and 5% taped. It's not uncommon to think more people would watch the show on DVR/tape given it falls on a Friday night, but that doesn't appear to be a factor. The week before it was around 97% live and 3% taped. As a comparison, the June 16 Raw was 92% live and 8% taped. Of the 8% who watched on tape, 4% watched the same night and the other 4% watched on tape within seven days.

TNA iMPACT! on July 3 did a 1.0 cable rating (rounded up from a 0.95) with 1.4 million viewers. This was the largest audience the show has had in nine weeks. The show did a 0.57 in males 18-34 and 0.67 in males 35-49.

ECW on Sci Fi on July 1 did a strong 1.4 cable rating (rounded up from a 1.38) with 1.81 million viewers. The show drew the same rating last week and has maintained a much larger audience since the 2008 WWE Draft.
